The test data

Every forecast and measurement behind the held-out year on Compare, so anyone can check the numbers.

What is in it

One row per airport and local day, 1 November 2025 to 24 October 2026: 115,158 rows at 324 airports, every forecast issued at 18:00 local, the evening before from what was public by then. Temperatures in °C.

  • observed_high, observed_low: the warmest and coldest hourly airport report of the local day (what the high means).
  • For each forecast, _high and _low: GateWeather, WT-1 alone, ECMWF IFS and AIFS, NOAA GFS, and at US airports GFS MOS and NAM MOS, each raw and corrected; same as today and normal for the date.
  • Corrected: the model's average error at that airport on earlier days removed, recent days weighted most, using only days measured by the issue.
  • in_global_table, in_us_table: the rows each table on Compare scores (112,874 and 34,459), where every forecast in it is present.

It holds forecasts and measurements only: not how our forecast is made.
